Dear Dr. Mama Love,
I'm suppose to be pre-engaged to my boyfriend and my mama haven't met him yet. I really love him and we want to get married after we finish college. We both plan on keeping it a secret. I want a small wedding well I really want it to be just us and some friends. He already told his mama but I haven't told mines. Is it bad for us not to tell my mama about it.
I think if you don't tell your mama and every one else knows about it that she will be hurt. So, if you don't want to hurt her I would tell her. Besides, part pf being an adult is being able to tell people that you are grown up and not afraid of what anyone else will think, especially your mama. If you can't tell your mama maybe your not ready.
